Backstory of the Azalea Pillar
Myzumi Micheol was born in a remote village in the Tōhoku region, specifically in Aomori, along with her younger brother, Rael Micheol. From childhood, she was hated by her parents for the Azalea flower mark on her body, which was considered a curse. Her father often abused her and accused her of being the child of a demon, while her mother was cold and eventually banished her. Only Rael occasionally defended her brother. This treatment made Myzumi grow up to be a cold girl who struggled to express emotions, although she secretly respected her parents for raising her.One night, their village was attacked by a demon and her entire family was killed. Myzumi and Rael were the only survivors, and despite her wounds, Myzumi managed to kill the demon with a makeshift knife to protect her family. After separating from Rael so that her sister could survive, Myzumi was eventually found by Kagaya Ubuyashiki and taken in by the Ubuyashiki family. Under their guidance, she trained as a demon slayer and gradually developed her own sword technique inspired by her birthmark: Azalea Breathing. His journey as a demon slayer then leads him to the Demon Slayer Corps selection exam, where he first meets Sanemi Shinazugawa who will later change the course of his life.
